What is TeenHealth Matters?
TeenHealth Matters is a one-stop shop full of whole health resources for teens in Howard County, Maryland. We say “whole” because your health is more than just what you eat or how much you sleep. Taking care of your whole self means just that: taking care of yourself, body and mind.
Who runs TeenHealth Matters?
The Howard County Health Department is behind TeenHealth Matters. Members of the Howard County Voices 4 Change (V4C) act as an Advisory Board to the site. V4C is a youth-based organization that focuses on issues impacting young people in Howard County, Maryland.
When I get information from TeenHealth Matters, is it the same as getting medical advice or counseling?
No. TeenHealthMatters.org is a great guide to getting some of the resources you need most. However, it does not take the place of your school guidance counselor, doctor, or direct consultation with a trained health professional.
